My answer is always the same. To see change in your body and mindset, you have got to take action. You can do all the talking you want in the world and make all the excuses. But getting help with our body is not an observation task it is a participation sport.
This is the thing; I can’t do the work for you. You will have to meet 50% of the way and that starts with you. You have got to show up and put in the work. I can show you the way. Give you resources and advice on actions steps… all of that stuff. That’s what I do every day, every week and every year. There are countless testimonials to show this. When I go off track with my own body with my sleep, diet, hydration, movement, breathing and mindset. It shows in my energy levels, my productivity, chronic inflammation in the gut, mood and inner strength and vitality.
Remember knowledge is not power, applied knowledge is power.
Now I have to be honest and this may hurt a little. The sooner you realise that no one is going to come and change your life for you. The sooner you can get started and actually do what’s required, the sooner you will start to look and feel different. If you cannot be bothered to take the first step and are always finding an excuse nothing will change till you change. I may be coaching you online or face to face, but you are going to have to show up each week.
Part of being a grown up is taking adult responsibility and taking charge of your life.
By showing up, I do not mean at the studio, but in life. Or you can keep believing that your body or business is somebody else’s responsibility. And have things stay the same. Until you decide to take action.
No one else is going to do it for you. This is fact.
No one is going to exercise for you.
No one is going to advance your career or grow your business for you.
No one is going to get to bed earlier for you.
No one is going to get a handle on those bad habits for you.
No one is going to eat better for you.
No one is going to ask you to drink more water.
No one is going to say ‘no’ to temptation for you.
No one is going to meditate for you.
It’s not because you’re not worth it or undeserving. It’s because that’s just how life works. Our behaviour is called ‘Transactional analysis’; we are taught always to play the child and never the adult.
You get what you’re most committed to I’m afraid.
And your actions will always demonstrate what you’re most committed to
“It’s not comfortable reading that, is it?”
But it’s the truth.
