The Conscious Teacher: One-to-One Training in Safe, Aligned Movement

A three-in-one approach combining:

  1. Postural assessment and corrective exercise.
  2. Safe mobility and strength progressions.
  3. Mindfulness-based awareness to support lasting change.

Targeting Clients

  • Identifying specific client needs (e.g., back pain, poor posture, limited flexibility).
  • Tailoring communication and marketing to highlight solutions to their exact problems.
  • Building trust by demonstrating safety, alignment, and mindfulness as key differentiators.

Postural Analysis & Assessment

  • Identifying and addressing common postural patterns: lordosis, kyphosis.
  • Using functional tests such as the Thomas Test for hip flexor length and mobility.
  • Evaluating shoulder mobility and range of motion (ROM).
  • Integrating assessments at both the start and end of class to track progress.
  • Applying layering techniques within the lesson plan to gradually increase complexity and challenge.
  • Designing sessions that safely increase ROM while maintaining alignment.

Intuition & Mindfulness

  • Developing the teacher’s intuition in guiding movement and spotting misalignment.
  • Using physical adjustments
  • Communication and professionalism. (What’s important and what’s appropriate)
  • Approaches for introducing meditation and mindfulness to complete beginners:
    • Implementing Breath awareness exercises for desired outcomes.
    • Short body scans for grounding.
    • Gentle cues that connect mind and body
