The Conscious Teacher: One-to-One Training in Safe, Aligned Movement
A three-in-one approach combining:
- Postural assessment and corrective exercise.
- Safe mobility and strength progressions.
- Mindfulness-based awareness to support lasting change.
Targeting Clients
- Identifying specific client needs (e.g., back pain, poor posture, limited flexibility).
- Tailoring communication and marketing to highlight solutions to their exact problems.
- Building trust by demonstrating safety, alignment, and mindfulness as key differentiators.
Postural Analysis & Assessment
- Identifying and addressing common postural patterns: lordosis, kyphosis.
- Using functional tests such as the Thomas Test for hip flexor length and mobility.
- Evaluating shoulder mobility and range of motion (ROM).
- Integrating assessments at both the start and end of class to track progress.
- Applying layering techniques within the lesson plan to gradually increase complexity and challenge.
- Designing sessions that safely increase ROM while maintaining alignment.
Intuition & Mindfulness
- Developing the teacher’s intuition in guiding movement and spotting misalignment.
- Using physical adjustments
- Communication and professionalism. (What’s important and what’s appropriate)
- Approaches for introducing meditation and mindfulness to complete beginners:
- Implementing Breath awareness exercises for desired outcomes.
- Short body scans for grounding.
- Gentle cues that connect mind and body
